all wrapped up

in looking into baby wraps and slings, i have come to the conclusion that they are quite pricey. we do have a sling for audra but currently only jamie can wear it with her in it. she is still too small for me to wear her. i want to carry her around, but help my arms at the same time.
so i went out and bought myself a long (long) piece of fabric and depending on how you wrap it up, i can put audra in and carry her around. youtube has some great video and the things moms can do with the wrap is great. it was also a no sew project which makes my life easier. i would eventually like to learn how to sew, but for now, the no sew option works great. and she loves being all swaddled and wrapped up and carried around. it reminds me of having a pregnant belly again. somedays i miss the belly. knowing that she was alwyas there to talk to. now if i talked to my belly i would be considered crazy! lol.

winter night

the snow has fallen all day long. it's nice and white and pristine out there. everyone is complaining but we have been extremely lucky this winter season. i love the first day of the snow, it looks so soft and clean. the way it has blown in has cast some really cool snowdrifts, as you will see with the pictures.
here's to drinking warm tea and staying cozy inside tonight.

another infection

friday night rolls around and i think wow, i really pump, alas no, it would be another case of mastitis. so another trip to the emergency room, thank goodness it was a slow night, for more antibiotics. i guess the left side felt left out! the doctor said that some women are prone to this and could have a few infections. great! that is just the news i wanted to hear. so reassuring.....

visiting

yesterday was a day of visiting and showing off.
we went out with grandma and toured the city. the first stop on the tour was to see mrs timler, an old friend of my babcias. she was so sweet and always reminds me of the cute little old polish lady! we then took the tour to paquet seniors, and then l'hommes. everyone was so excited to see audra, to hold her and make a fuss over her. and besides the getting in and out of her carseat, that she really doesn't enjoy, she was great. she is still small enough that she doesn't play shy or have to be with mom, which is great. who needs a routine right? lol. for now, it works, and we can get out of the house.

Family day, a new made up holiday. I think this is only the 2nd year celebrated, but so much more special now that we have a family. We had another lazy day and went to the Miller's for dinner. Going through pictures and it was crazy to think that I just put another 100 pictures on my dad's computer and that's only from the last couple of weeks. Camera crazy. But so sweet and I just can't help myself with the camera. Is it wrong that I want a video camera? Got some really cute shots in the tub, which she absolutely loves. It amazes me how much she likes being in the water. She is so freaking cute all the time, even at 3am, grumping and wanting to eat! A proud mama!

Happy Valentines Day. A very commerical hallmark holiday, but still a nice day to tell those people in your life that you love them dearly.
A very cute shadowbox gift with Audra's footprints was a great present. Can't wait to hang it up. Also very excited that we have some record of those cute little feets and toes. Means we need to get those paws and piggies into her scrapbook before she gets too big.
A nice, lazy day is in order. Going to have a delicious meal,the cauliflower soup is already made, and I need to start in on the meatballs. Mmmmm.....
