Bedtime

Our nightly ritual, at least when I'm home. Jamie bathes her, and I put her to bed. It's all about picking the right stories. The little monkey now stands in front of her books, with her finger on her lips, saying "hmmmm.." trying to decide what story to read. It's really cute. So we sit on the big bed and read barnyard dancing, or Pooh bear, or the occasional Elmo. It's cute and I wouldn't trade it in for anything.

25 months

Happy 25 months. Another month has flown month. And I really mean, flown by. Where did January go? Time just keeps slipping by and I look up and poof it's another month gone. I feel like you have just taken off this past month. You are talking nonstop and busier then usual. Character doesn't even begin to describe you. I feel like you've grown two feet, I'm sure it's not that much, but man does it feel like it. There are pants that I feel just fit you, now, they are waiting for the floods! (there is a joke with waiting for the floods, and only my bestest would get it! haha)

Gwen has become your best friend, and some days she is your best friend back. Most days though, she tries to get away from you because your love is just a little strong for her. Most days in fact, you go at her like a mack truck! But she is good most days and tolerates you. You have such an unconditional love, for her, for us, for everyone. Please don't change that. I have to relish all that love now, because some day you will not think your parents are that cool. There are times now that you already don't like us, or our decisions, but that's life.

Look at that hair. It has taken it's sweet time coming in, now it's a beast. Your dad trims your bangs, and it's the cutest thing ever. He is so good with things like that. He dotes on you, and has such patience. Your momma, as much as she loves you, is not always the most patient person.
Oh, Monkey, you are so much fun right now. Thank you for making life fun for us. You wear us out daily, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Pencil/Crayon Case

I finally cut into some wonderful fabric, Michael Miller's Zoology, and sewed up a little pencil case, or now, crayon case for Audra. I love the animals in this print, and I love how easy it was. It was kind of a mix of a couple patterns. I am kinda proud that I made it up as I went along.
The inside lining isn't anything too special, a funky little button pattern that I got a Fabricland. The animals are just too cute. Did I mention that already? laugh.

I am definitely going to have to make another one of these, or maybe two. Maybe putting some interfacing into and it would be a great makeup bag. Add another project to the ever growing list.

New Love, New Toy

Hello new camera, hello new love. It has been great getting to know you and I look forward to the many great times ahead. Thank you for showing me that I know nothing about cameras! And that we have a lot to learn! But we are always up for a challenge! It's been fun so far. It is absolutely wonderful being able to take pictures of the little monkey in action, and having them turn out. The free printer we got with you is fantastic, too bad the ink and picture combo are a tad on the pricey side. It does print off great pictures though. The great quality almost makes me feel like I am taking great pictures. lol.
Here's to checking off another thing on my 101 list. Now we just need to check off the next item, learning to take great pictures.
