Month 10

10 months. Wow, time is flying by. You are such a little monkey. Nothing is safe anymore. You are always on the move. Even trying to get these shots were a challenge. You definitely didn't want to sit still. Nor did you want the sticker on, and kept trying to pick it off. lol
That hair poof of yours keeps getting higher and higher. You have also discovered it and do nothing but rip the elastics out.Ugh. Audra didn't hair at this point, or this much, so it wasn't a big deal. You on the other hand look crazy with all that hair everywhere.

My messy little eater. It is so funny seeing how excited you get around food.

You are definitely most happy when messy and covered in food.
Nothing is safe in the house. The stuff you get into surprises me daily. Just when I think I have moved things out of the way and out of reach, you find something.
Love the action shot of you whipping stuff around.
And by far your favourite toy lately, all the DVD's. Oh man. Doesn't matter what I put in front of them, you get to them. There isn't much that is safe from your prying hands. You still aren't crawling. You can scoot really quickly now, like scary quick. And when you are into something you shouldn't be, I come and get you and you scoot the other way. I love how you know at 10 months you shouldn't be where you are, and you try and escape the other way. You are too funny.
10 months saw your top teeth fully coming in. 4 teeth already. They make me a bit nervous, won't lie. But it is soo funny hearing you crunch into things. You have been cranky lately, and we're hoping it's due to teeth. Here's hoping the next month will be a little easier for us all. You are so cute and yet a little terror most days. No one is safe, neither Audra nor Gwen, from your scooting and attacking. You are loud most days (and nights) and squeal with delight when you are happy. Dad gets the best squeals when he gets home and you scoot as fast as you can to get to him. Love it.

Oh my hunny bee, our time together is starting to near the end. Mat leave is almost over. Bittersweet. Will be happy to go back to work, because I know you are going to have a blast at Kristin's. You love being around other kids and think hanging out there will do you some good.
Here's to enjoying the time we have left.

Wedding Decorations and homemade goodness

Spring wedding, means bright colours, so we decided on an orange, yellow and green colour scheme.

Pretty and beautiful daffodils. The greenhouse forced bloomed them and when I picked them up, was so happy with them.
A beautiful ring dish to hold our rings, made by my friend Lisa as a shower present. (will have to post shower pictures too!)
A spring wedding is very unpredictable, so our plans of getting married outside didn't happen. We transformed our living room and made it work. Used the tissue flowers and paper globes inside as decorations.

I re-purposed an old suitcase for our card box. I love how it turned out. The fabric inside wasn't exactly our colour scheme, but think it worked just perfectly.
I spent some time making brownie cookies as our favors. They were really yummy cookies and held up pretty well in the package. Saved myself some serious cash by doing them myself. Even picked up the bags to package them in. Icing them was mildly pain-free, but worth it in the end.
My homemade banner. I love making these for weddings.
Our seating chart. I bought black frames to put various things into. Guest book, candy bar, etc.

The paper globes. They were a labor of love for Jamie and I, but loved how they turned out, and how we got to use them both days.
Centerpieces. Paper globes with daffodils. I also made the table numbers, but guess we didn't get a picture of any of them.
How cute were these bells? It fit perfectly with our rsvp's (will be there with bells on!)

Not a great picture of the hall. Will have to find a better one. But it was plain and simple and just matched what we wanted perfectly. We hung the tissue flowers up around the room. And I loved how the centerpieces were pops of colours on the tables.

A little bit of sewing

Have been sewing some items lately for others. Made a dance bag for our friend Payton. She needed a tutu bag for dance class and I kind made up my own version. It's a bag pattern I have been wanting to try and added the tulle in. Think it turned out pretty good. I love the heart fabric on the inside.
Not too shabby. Perfect for a little ballerina.

Made a tie bib. This was completely my own pattern. Not the greatest picture of it, but I lined the back with nice soft cotton. The blue tie was Jamies tie for Matt's wedding that got re-purposed into a little clip on tie for our handsome friend Marcus, for his one year pictures. (how is that possible already?)
And re-purposed an old Oskgosh dress that Audra wore a lot when she was little. Eleanor wore it a little, but outgrew it pretty quick. Well the bodice part still fit, it was just way too short. So I chopped the bottom part of the dress out and added some girly flowery material that matched relatively well with the jean pattern. It turned out really well and Eleanor looks adorable in it. Yay. It was one of my favourite things, so glad we can still see it in rotation.
