7 months

7 months in. Where has the time gone. I know I keep writing it, but maybe one of these days it will actually set in that time is just flying past.
Hard to believe. But as I looked at Audra in my mom's arms tonight, I thought, wow, she has gotten so big. I carry her around all day (and most nights too) so I don't realize how big she has actually grown. Triple her birth weight in 6 months, that's a crazy fact.
She has such big smiles, and such a huge voice. She loves hearing the sound of her own voice. Or when she knows the attention isn't on her, she seems to be a little louder!
She gives hugs and cuddles when she's tired, otherwise she is always on the go. She isn't crawling (don't think she actually will ever crawl), but loves to stand and jolly jump. Walking will be here before we know it.
She loves to eat, and like her father, ice cream seems to be her favourite food! It's not something she gets very often, I already have one ice cream monster, don't need two!
Her little chubby legs keep growing, the little tuft, or comb over of hair, is finally starting to grow in, and her little pierced ears are so cute.
I watch her laying and sleeping beside me, yes, still in the bassinet, and I think, don't grow, stay the way you are! But that isn't happening, so I just smile when she is crying and not settling down, and try and remember the cute little sleeping monkey. It works somedays!

Furry Sister

Audra is in love with Gwennie Dog. She watches her constantly and loves mauling her to death. It is so funny to watch. And Gwen, thankgoodness, is so good with her. She patiently takes all the abuse. She has no idea what will be in store for her later on, once Audra is bigger and moving and able to run after her.

Little Ears

Little ears that now have cute little earrings in them! Audra was so good when they pierced them, didn't flinch or cry and hasn't had any problems with them. I wanted to get her ears done while she was still small, and doesn't realize that she even has ears! Which thankfully has been the case. She looks so cute and definitely very girlie now!

summer days

How cute is that picture? I think she is ice cream'ed out. She is definitely her father's child. Summer days seem to be flying by and I am really not sure why I haven't posted much recently. I have been sewing (big surprise) but actually have some orders to fill, which is kinda neat. Still on the fence about a name for my felted goodness, but it will come I'm sure. Saw all the grandparents last weekend for a BBQ while the grandpa's and Jay worked on the garage. One of these days will see power and lights from it! It's been really hot and muggy. The backyard pool is great, and the driving park has been packed! Visiting friends and staying cool has been our motto lately.

Happy Canada Day!!!

This post is a wee bit late, but Happy (belated!) Canada Day! Weird mid week, I think it threw everyone's week off, but nice to have Jamie home during the week. And nice for me to have it off as well. I have always had to work the holidays, as a manager you're required to work the stats, so it has been a nice change to not be working them.
Had a great bbq up at the Millers, went to the "It's your festival" down at Gage park (very disappointing!) and a nice long walk.
The only downfall of July 1st is the damn HST starting. Gas jumped, no skyrocketed, thru the roof. Ugh!

A dress and socks

So many projects and so little time it seems. As I have written before, time is just escaping me. Audra is more active and curious now, and free time is a little limited. She has been sitting up all by her self and it's great to see her on the carpet playing with her toys and having fun.
I have made her a little dress (my first clothes item ever!), made out of a pillowcase and have been on a streak making babylegs, or my version of them. She looks so cute with little toes sticking out. She should be in ballet or dance with that look!!!

Felt Food

The Chef in me is just bursting out with all my felt food creations. I have so many food items I want to make, and Audra is still aways away from actually playing with it. I do have a lead though on a possible way to turn my obsession into profit, so we'll keep that in mind.

Designer Baby

How cute is this little shirt?
It was a hand me down, but a real little Dior. Oh la la!
She looks so cute no matter what she is wearing, but I love the smile and expression. Priceless!
