Ornament Swap

Lots of swaps lately. There are so many and I wish I could sign up for all of them. But when I found Laura's ornament swap on the luckiestinlove.blogspot.com, I thought it would be perfect. One ornamnet, one person, no problem.
I was paired up with Laura of sayingidoinnewyork.blogspot.com. I had the perfect ornament in mind for the swap.
I have been wanting to try and make a yo-yo christmas tree. It's lots of fabric rounds all sewn together. My first attempt resulted in a smallish tree. I guess my templates should have been a lot big (a lot!). So instead of scrapping the whole thing, I thought, that would be perfect for an ornament. There was some green tulle mixed in with all the christmas fabric and I added the loop and some bells, and perfect. I was very happy with it. I am definitely going to be needing to make a few more. My tree would I'm sure love one.

And the little Reindeer is from Starbucks. I couldn't resist a year or two ago, and bought all the leftover ones after christmas. He is so cute and I love being able to share him with people. I make a little fabric bag ot put them in, and off they got mailed. I hope Laura likes them and they make a great addition to her tree. If she has a Martha Stewart theme going on, probably won't work out so well, so here's hoping she doesn't have a specific theme happening. lol.
Either way it was fun, and can't wait for our ornament to arrive!
