I think back to that Sex and the City episode when Carrie's computer dies, and afterward she says "no one talks about backing up." And I am now guilty of that. My own fault really. All my pictures on the computer gone. Thankfully I still have some on the camera, quite a few, but not all of them. The worst part is I am not really sure of what I lost. Lots of good shots I'm sure.
I am collecting pictures from family, that will hopefully re-create Audra's first year. There are so many shots that I hopefully will have once I piece all the emails and pictures together, but really, all the pictures of Jay and I, pretty much gone.
Can't keep dwelling on it. It's done. Lesson learnt. Hurts, and is definitely heartbreaking, but live and learn.

That's so sad! You can also store photos on an external site like flickr or picasa - these also give you the option of making the online albums available to friends and family. It's what we did when we were travelling. Hi to the family! Les
