My new bag

My new bag. Which if I do say so, turned out exactly to what I wanted.

I am really at the point with little miss go-go-go, the less I have to carry the better. And as much as I love my nice purses, they just don't sit on my shoulder well, don't hold enough and I am finding that they are getting tossed around.

So when I couldn't find one to my liking, this crafty girl thought, hey, I can make a new purse, and that's what I did.

A good friend of mine placed a fabric order and I definitely went in on it. Who doesn't love the wonderful Innocent Crush line by Anna Maria Horner? I would have ordered the whole line if silly little things like money weren't an object. I love these two fabrics together. The orange reminds me of fall and it's just fun and cheery.
The pattern is from sew4home.com. I think they made it as a book bag, but works perfectly for a mom on the go.
The bag is just lined with a white thicker cotton, and I put an inside pocket, and metal snaps. I was kinda proud of myself for those. They turned out great.
The inside shots are a little dark, will have to take it outside and snap some pictures.

One of my favourite sites, luvinthemommyhood, is helping to host Celebrate Color, on Stitched in Color. They are celebrating all things fall, and as this is my new fall bag, I thought I would submit it in the Wearable/Fabric category.
It's a wonderful site. Can't wait to see what others link up.
