3 years old, where has the time gone? It feels just like yesterday that we were waiting your arrival. Getting things ready, waiting and wondering what life would be like, how things would change and how amazing it would be to become parents.
10:15am made you officially 3 years old.
Your Elf had a special message for you.
Presents from Mom and Dad in the morning.
Then you and Mom went downtown Dundas and went on a horse and carriage ride through the town. It was something they do every weekend in December and thought that your birthday would be the perfect time to do it.
You were a little leary standing that close to the horses, and I can understand. They were some mighty big horses. You loved it though, and we had fun!
Look at the loot from everyone. You got spoiled rotten. You wouldn't pose by your presents for some reason. No matter what we tried to do. I should find the outtakes of this picture. You were being quite silly that afternoon. (Grammy used to do this with mom on her birthdays. It's always fun to look back and see when you got on your special day, or days in your case)
Birthday dinner with just the four of us.
Happy birthday my love. Three years has just flown by. You are out of the terrible two's stage and definitely into the trying three's. lol. We'll get through it. You are so smart and energetic. Creative and silly. Sweet and caring and gentle somedays, and then the complete opposite the next day. You have a huge love for life and everything in it. You love to challenge us and see what you can get away with. Testing your limits and your parents sanity most days. But we love you with all our hearts and wouldn't change a thing.
Here's to getting back into some routines and normality, and settling finally into this life of ours, a family of four, with only one baby, and now a big girl.
