Stockings were hung...

I would love to say "stockings hung by the chimney with care...", but we unfortunately do not have a chimney. Or a fireplace. Or really anywhere to hang our stockings. It's sad, but doesn't stop us from having great stockings.

I wanted to make some for the family this year, but time is really starting to be my enemy, and I just won't have hours to put into them. Amidst my christmas decorations and totes, I came across a few stockings that I must have purchased last year. If memory serves, I think they were .99 at Old Navy after christmas. Score, who doesn't love a good deal?
Now the stockings my mom made for myself and later Jamie, and now Audra, can stay at the Miller's, and our family will have their own set here.

The stockings are felt, and I loved the little mama bird on mine and the deer for Jamie.

I then took some scrap felt and embroidery thread, and stitched names onto them. Jamie of course thought it would be fitting to have them labelled mom and dad. I think they turned out really well. I just wish we had somewhere to hang them. Hmm.. I did see a post on how to make a faux-fireplace, mantel out of skids. hmmmm.... (I think I would be shot if I brought more projects into the house. That will be a next year kinda thing when the garage is up and running)
