Well our first year in soccer has started rolling. Audra likes playing and is actually pretty good. She is finally starting to get into it. It has been a struggle getting her to play sometimes, as she likes having her own ball and doesn't want to share. Practicing is great, but when the game starts and there is only one ball to play with, she doesn't love it as much.
She is finally realizing that she needs to go after the ball and get it to the net. She has actually scored some goals (we don't keep score b/c really, half the time players score on their own net!)
The past couple of weeks have seen her get more aggressive and protecting the ball. When she gets in front of it, she has learnt to protect it and keep the other kids away from it. It's so funny watching all these little guys who are 4 and under. It is cute watching them, and every time we pass the soccer fields that are around the corner from us, she says "that's where I play soccer!'
Eleanor thoroughly enjoys watching all the kids run around, so Saturday mornings we are up early and at the fields.
