| The tv screens on the plane showed where we were, woo hoo, almost there! |
Vegas, here we come!
We stayed at the New York, New York Hotel and Casino, closer to the end of the strip, so allowed us to do lots of walking. The weather was great. Hot of course, but the dry heat was tolerable.
Cruising the strip. Taking in the sights.
M and M factory.
Our hotel and all it's glory.
The Pearl Factory in the Venetian Hotel. I picked a nice oyster and got a huge pearl. It was actually quite a surprise. Will have to take a picture of it, because I had it then set into a setting for a necklace.
Buffets were the dinner meal of choice. We had some great food.
A large box of Nerds, being held by my sweet nerd.
Relaxing by the pool.
We gambled a bit, sadly didn't come home with any great winnings, but had fun.
We did the Pawn Star tour, very fun. Saw Rick's Restorations, the place that make crazy big fish tanks and aquariums (some show on Animal Planet), the Toy Shack and then the Pawn shop. Our tour guide was an ex show girl who had been living in Vegas for years, and had all the dirt and gossip and info, so the tour was definitely worth it.
Jamie with Ron (I think). Everyone else was shooting, for the tv show, so we didn't get to see Rick. Jamie did get to see the guy at the Toy Shack, (can't remember his name, and he was sooo nice. Shook everyones hand coming into the store). and he even managed to get a deal on a red line hot wheels Camaro. We did see Rick when we finally got into the Pawn shop, but they were finishing a shoot, so we didn't get any pictures inside. The shop is tiny!
Only in Vegas will you find a Kate Spade purse game. (it was a cute display!)
Crazy fishtank in Caesars. Half the fun is touring the Casinos and seeing everything they have to offer.
The view from our room, looking towards the strip.
I only have these few pictures downloaded on the computer, will have to upload and post part two.
It was a great trip. Great weather, and we had a blast.
